Quality & Testing
API 598 as the floor, API 6D / 607 / cryogenic testing where the specification asks, full heat-number traceability.
Every valve is tested to API 598 as a minimum: hydrostatic shell, hydrostatic and pneumatic seat, backseat on OS&Y valves and air low-pressure seat test, with leakage acceptance by seat type.
API 6D licensed valves carry documented crack-open pressure and seat leakage testing to the API 6D annex. Fire-safe construction is tested to API 607 with the secondary metal seat proved after burn; cryogenic testing to project specification with actual leakage figures in the report.
Material traceability runs from the ladle: EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates for pressure-retaining parts, heat numbers stamped on the body, PMI and hardness records on alloy components. 3.2 certification by a nominated third party is available.
Third-party inspection — SGS, TÜV, BV, Applus or your nominated inspector — is welcome at our works before dispatch.
FAQ
What testing comes as standard?
Hydrostatic shell, hydrostatic and pneumatic seat, backseat and air low-pressure seat testing to API 598, with a test report per valve or per batch.
Can we witness testing?
Yes — witnessed testing and third-party inspection by your nominated inspector are welcome at our works.
Do you supply 3.2 certificates?
3.1 is standard on all pressure-retaining parts; 3.2 countersigned by your nominated third party is available on request.
Send the piping class, not the part number
We check the dimensions, the material and the standard before we price — which is the part that decides whether the valve actually fits. RFQ answered within one working day.
